Frequently Asked Questions

  • Chiropractic care is safe and effective for the whole family at every stage of life, focusing on the nervous system's role in health. Using adjustments and lifestyle changes, I aim to optimize spinal and nervous system function, helping the body heal naturally.

  • A chiropractic adjustment helps restore optimal movement to joints that may not be moving properly, thereby supporting optimal function of our nervous system.

    Adjustments can be:

    • Manual (where you might hear popping)

    • Drop (where the table makes a loud sound)

    • Activator (a gentle tool)

  • Absolutely YES! The adjustments on babies are so gentle they might even sleep through their entire appointment. There isn’t any twisting, popping or cracking on babies. The amount of force used on a baby’s adjustment is the same amount of pressure used to check the firmness of a peach.

  • Absolutely YES! A specialized protocol known as the Webster Technique has been developed specifically to balance the pelvis and prepare the body for childbirth. For more details, you can visit the pregnancy page.

  • During all infant chiropractic visits, Dr. Madison checks to ensure the baby can rotate their head to both sides, which is essential for feeding on both sides when breastfeeding. She also examines the mouth for any tongue, lip, or buccal (cheek) ties. Regardless of whether ties are present, Dr. Madison assesses the function of the tongue. If any restrictions or tissue tension are identified, treatment is tailored to address these areas.

  • Kinesiology tape is safe to use during pregnancy and postpartum. It can be a great addition to your treatment to help with issues like low back/pelvis pain, pubic bone pain, belly heaviness, rib discomfort and more!

  • You can book your newborn baby for an appointment within the first few days or weeks of life. This is an ideal time for a wellness check to address any issues or tension patterns early, helping set your baby up for success.
